The watch arrived untouched: old oil had gummed up the movement, the case was dull, the crystal scratched. I disassembled the calibre 552 completely, mainspring barrel included, cleaned everything, replaced the mainspring and the balance staff, then reassembled and oiled it. Regulated in five positions, it now keeps within ±8 seconds a day.
The case was repolished by hand, keeping the original edges. The dial has not been touched: its patina is sixty years old, and I leave it alone. New acrylic crystal, new gaskets, new leather strap. Water resistance is not guaranteed: this is a 1963 watch, and I recommend keeping it away from water.
