Watch repair in Versailles

Has your watch stopped, started losing time, or become difficult to wind? Atelier Craig offers watch repair and maintenance in Versailles for wristwatches and pocket watches, both vintage and more recent. The private workshop welcomes clients by appointment only.

Which watch problems can we examine?

  • Stopped watch or irregular timekeeping: fault finding, movement inspection, servicing or repair according to the diagnosis.
  • Winding and time setting: inspection of the stem, crown and time-setting mechanism.
  • Crystal, strap and case components: replacement or adjustment when suitable parts are available.
  • Quartz watches: function checks, battery replacement and work appropriate to the model.
  • Vintage watches and pocket watches: inspection of mechanical movements and assessment of restoration options that respect the watch.

Every watch has its own history and limitations. Repair feasibility depends particularly on the condition of the movement and the availability of parts. For more extensive work, see our page on vintage watch restoration.

How does a repair work?

  1. Initial enquiry: describe the watch and the problem, and attach a few photographs using the contact form.
  2. Assessment: an appointment in Versailles may be arranged to inspect the watch. Some faults require a more detailed examination at the workshop.
  3. Quotation: the proposed work, cost and timescale are explained according to the condition of the watch. No chargeable work begins without your approval.
  4. Repair and testing: the agreed work is carried out and the watch is checked before it is returned.

A private watchmaking workshop in Versailles

Atelier Craig does not have a shop open to walk-in visitors. You can first request advice online, or book an appointment to show us your watch. The appointment address is provided after confirmation.

Do you live in Versailles or nearby? Whether your watch has a market value or mainly sentimental value, the aim is the same: to understand the fault and clearly explain reasonable repair options.

Ask about your watch

If possible, include the brand, model, problem and how long the watch has not been working. You can attach photographs to your enquiry.
